This NFL franchise joined the league as an expansion team in 1976. Having persevered through some lean years, the Seahawks grew into an absolutely dominant force in the NFC West. When he purchased the team in 1996, the late Paul Allen sought to build a winning club and that is just what he did, culminating with a Super Bowl title in 2013.
While the Seahawks made it all the way back to the Super Bowl in 2014, back-to-back championships were not in the cards. While the team had made the playoffs in all but four seasons since then, they are currently in the midst of a two-season playoff drought.
Mike MacDonald got his first taste of NFL head coaching duties last season with the Seahawks. A coach who moved up the ranks in Baltimore, MacDonald has seen how strong teams persist in this league. He knows what it takes to win and stay at the top. Seattle is encouraged by what they have seen.
While 2023 and 2024 both produced winning records, the team has not yet made it back to the postseason. Their sights are set on 2025 with the intention of taking this team all the way. In an effort to do so, the Seahawks brought in Sam Darnold as the new starting quarterback. A smart veteran who has been around the block, he is ready to cement a legacy in Seattle. Aiding him is backup Drew Lock.

Seattle’s thundering defense has gone through a bit of an overhaul itself in recent years, as the Legion of Boom is now a thing of the past. Jarran Reed and DeMarcus Lawrence up front puts fear in the offensive lineman while Ernest Jones IV leads from the linebacker position. The meat of this defense is in the backfield with Devon Witherspoon, Riq Woolen, and Julian Love creating a scary combination.
